Too Much To Write About

It seems that the presence of so many things to write about always goes hand in hand with it never getting written. Just by the nature of things when so many things are happening, one gets too busy to write about them. We all had a great Christmas at our Grandparent's this year. When we got back, I started work at my new job: Starbucks. Partying last night until 12:30 for New Years was fun and then this morning we played tackle football for the New Year's Day Bowl. I didn't win but I had a lot of fun. I had one recieving TD, one interception, three touchdown passes, and I threw two interceptions. I also got to tackle Kevin. Anyway, I work today, and since it's a holiday I think I get paid extra. Happy New Year.

Christmas Days

I had great day today. I started off by going to my group piano lessons, my last lesson from Ms. Jenny forever. I am now done (unless I take from someone else). After my lesson, Adam picked me up and we drove to the Expo center for the Rose City Gun Show. When we had finished there, we picked up Matthew and drove out to Estacada for the basketball and volleyball games. We won all our games and I had a grand old time cheering for our teams and making fun of the other teams. Halfway througth the basketball game Mr. Dutton was leaving and he gave me a ride. We fit all eight of us into his truck and drove back to their house. After dinner Mr. Dutton drove me home.

Up On The Housetop

Every once in a while a one could make out a thumping bumping sound coming from the roof, but on this particular Friday it wasn't reindeer; it was me putting up our Christmas lights. On Friday we got our tree and I decided that I was going to put our Christmas lights. I made the decision late in the afternoon so I had to get to work before the light totally failed on me. After testing all our outdoor strings of lights I went up on the roof and began to work. Slowly but surely, the day began to fade into night. My position was made less precarious because the strings of lights I was putting up were lit while I worked with them. But as the night began to fall so did the rain. Rain has many forms and this rain was a light misting, just enough to make the entire roof surface wet. The rain felt good, as did my sense of accomplishment at the progress I was making. Eventually the rain stopped, by this time the darkness had completely fallen and night had set in. I finished the first story roof just in time for an appointment I had. I saved the upper for another day, another time.

High Definition

Tonight I had a pretty good night at youth group. I didn't do very well on Bible Quizzing, but what can be expected if I don't study very well. We sang a song that I didn't really like and then had a little dress rehearsel for next Sunday night's Chrildrens Christmas program. Afterwards the seniors had a meeting and then I set up to room for school tomorrow. I was a little upset about having to set up the classroom practically by myself even though I don't go to school there. I finally had a chance to hang out a little while before I went to practice our upcoming special music with Adam and Adela.

Steve Llyod, Christopher Lloyd, and Pink Floyd and What They Have in Common

Alright, I confess, Steve Lloyd, Christopher Lloyd, Pink Floyd have next to nothing common. But I'm sure that the title made you think.

Turning now to real life. I went to Lloyd Center today with Anna, Evan, and Sara. The main reason we went was that Evan wanted to go to Aeropostale to get some black polos but I went along anyway. I like Aeropostale and you never know what you might find at the mall for the upcoming Christmas season; so I went along. The ride across town was enjoyable, sort of. It was raining heavily all afternoon, which I like, and the traffic was heavy so the going was steady but we had to slow down a little bit heading into downtown. At Aeropostale I got a long sleeved polo but that was it. I really wanted to go to J. Crew but Lloyd Center doesn't have one; can you believe the outrage. I had actually never been inside Lloyd Center before today and I'm not really impressed; personally I like Washington Square better. When everyone had finished their shopping we went back to the car and I drove home. Pretty exciting huh? It was raining again on the way home but it was more on and off.

On Tuesday we didn't want to deal with any of the little Halloween creatures that inherently show up at your door on October 31st for some reason, so we decided that we would stop Evan's Starbucks and take a picture of him in his Halloween get-up. After ordering a Cappuccino we drove to the mall in the gail force winds to see if we could accomplish some pre-emptive Christmas shopping. I had a pretty good time despite all the little Supermans and Grim Reapers. I visited the Oakleys store and the Helly Hansen, but my favorite store is definitely J.Crew. We picked up Evan from work after closing then went home. What fun.
