Firsbee and More

I just got back from playing frisbee. It was really fun: I won. It was really cold; I coughed. Now I'm soaked with my own sweat and my feet are cold. And that is that.

In other news: I now know how a lot of people in the world feel.

Now my mind is blank.

Warning of A Failure

I haven't seen Rachel or Bonnie in far to long and I really miss both to them. And now they're at camp so even if I was allowed to I couldn't call them. I don't who all reads this but could you pray for me. First, that I would be able to resist temptation and flee from the devil. And second, that I could have peace and not be angry at Mom for making the decisions that she is making. I really have failed, over and over again, and I know that what I'm doing is wrong, and that I need to stop it before I start. I try telling myself that what I'm doing will only make me hurt later but I don't listen. In the end my Will wins over mind and my emotions, and I hate it. Anway, I thank you for your prayers, and I request that if you have any prayer requests that you tell me if you can, I would love pray for any of my friends. God bless, I love you.

The Age Of Fitzpatrick

Either I haven't done a lot lately or I have been doing too much because I can't think of anything to write about. But I have the chance so I think I'll see what I can do. Why not talk about Halloween? An interesting holiday, Halloween, once called All Hallows Eve, is the night before the first of November: All Saints Day. It was believed that demons would come to the world on this evening and do their demonly thing. So people took to wearing costumes so that the demons would think that they were not people and wouldn't kill them. I don't know how we came up with idea to pilfer candy off of everyone but I certainly do enjoy it. I didn't go door to door this year for a couple of reasons. First, I've never gone before and I didn't want to break my record. Second, Mom was requiring that anyone that goes out had to hand out tracts to any house they went to. Third, I didn't want to. So instead I stayed home and watched Pirates Of The Carribean while eating a bunch of candy bars that Mom had for the trick-or-treaters. Later that night I finally got a chance to call Rachel and Bonnie at Bonnie's house but our phone conversation was cut short by Mrs. Broderick. All I remember is that I didn't have much to say and I felt dumb, that I told Rachel something, and that our conversation ended on quite and interesting topic to say the least. I didn't even get to say goodbye, thanks to Rae *sarcastic*.

About the title, I just made that up. I just finished reading a book called Fitzpatrick's War, I loved it. I've sort of got myself back into the habit of reading again. For a time I sort of stopped reading but now I find that its the only place I can go to get away from everything. These days I find myself wanting to get away a lot more often, I'm changing and I hope everything will turn out okay. Sometimes I feel like I need a vacation.

I'm done now, but I'll be back.

I’m thinking about disbanding this blog. I have not updated in a while and I don’t have time or permission to do so often enough to keep it up. If you think I shouldn’t please inform me within one week. If I do not get a reply in that time period, I will commence to delete it.

Warning Of Success

Alright, I'm back y'all, and better than ever; well, sort of. Anyway, I had a really good hunting trip and I missed you all. Spending 6 plus hours a day in the woods gives a person a lot of time to think about life. Evan and I were both successful on our hunt and ended up both getting deer. Evan got a good sized spike and I got a fork with a midget antler on one side. But we were the only ones in camp to get anything. Every year the guys at hunting form a pool of money, everyone throws in $5 and the person with the smallest buck gets double his money back and the person with the biggest buck gets the rest of the money. Evan got the smallest so he got $10 and I got the biggest so I got the other $40. Winning money is always fun. Um....I can't think of anything else to write about the trip, but if I talk to you in person you will most likely hear a lot of them. Anyway, I'll talk to you later.

Warning About My Knee

So on Sunday I injured my meniscus playing frisbee and that night it swelled up and I lost a lot of motion in my right leg as well as causing a lot of pain when I tried to straighten my leg. Anyway, It wasn't any better on Tuesday and I was really bummed beacuse I'm supposed to go hunting this weekend, which requires a lot of walking at which I was limited. But I iced it twice and I've been resting it and today when I woke up it felt better and I have some of my movement back and I can straighten it more. Praise be unto God, my healer. And continue to to pray that it will heal up completely before we go and that I won't have any pain in the future. I love you all.

Warning Of A Rescue

In times of trial, when all I know is fear
I'm sinking in the mire, and the waters swallow me
And the flood sweeps down, and I just can't hear

My throat is parched, my eyes they grow dim
I'm weary from crying
Oh Lord, mighty are those who destroy me
And those who attack me with lies

You come to my rescue, my rescue
You're my rescue, rescue

You are my comfort
You are my right hand
You are my fortress and I run to you
And then You take me in
And then You lift me up again

You come to my rescue, my rescue
You're my rescue, rescue

Warning Of A Sellout

I am an idiot, too lazy to think twice
I point the finger, and I can't take my own advice.
I put a name on something and ever since,
I've made an art of building my counterfeit intelligence.

Seemingly to me,
I am straightening a world of cluttered thoughts
and a debris inside my head,
but I think instead of prejudiced
and I give people names to make me feel safe.

I am an idiot, too lazy to think twice
I point the finger, and I can't take my own advice.
I put a name on something and ever since,
I've made an art of building my counterfeit intelligence.

What is economic status, and tell me what is race?
who decides to Classified taxonomy of grace?
If one man gets less that another is it true,
that he is all that different,
that he is less than you?

Warning Of A Pained Heart

Mouth full of words,
Words full of nothing,

I always want something
I say to be important
but I never meet my goal.

Everything I say is purely subjective
Meaning has forsaken me

Always talking;
never saying anything.

In a conversation,
I find the silence annoying,
just ‘cause I don’t want to be boring

Making empty conversation,
using empty words.

Always talking,
never saying anything.

I finally get the time
the be alone, just me and you
Always talking, never saying anything new

Making empty conversation,
using empty words.

I know that I'm dreary,
Of myself, I've become weary.

Always talking,
never saying anything.

If this isn’t true please tell me,
it’s what I see inside me

(more later)

Warning Of Something New

I just thought I would throw this out there: If anyone has a prayer request, please tell me. You can post it here or e-mail me directly. I would really like to help in anyway I can, and sometimes all I can do is pray and wait.

God is doing a work in all of us, and we will come out better for it if we follow His plan. (Romans 8:28)

John - The New Me

Warning Of A Funk

When Rachel told me the details of what happened to Bonnie I felt so bad. I'm really sorry Bonnie that this had to happen, and I wish there was something I could do to help. It's really not fair. I haven't forgotten about you, but I've had a lot on my mind recently. I'll be praying for you.

One more thing, I love your new blog. And on that note, Mom is being so irritating, she won't let me visit blogs, post anything online, visit my FIF forum, or do anything. It's really annoying!

A Midnight Dreary (A Warning of Promises)

Hey there, all you John Fans. Yes I'm back for a while and I hope that you will enjoy the lastest post on my blog. I hope it will be substantial and full of thought provoking ideas. Anyway, on to life.

Lately I've been pretty upset with Mom for not giving me the freedom that I would like, but God has given me a peace about the whole situation. I know that anything God ordains, no man can put asunder (Matthew 19:6) . Mom doesn't want Rachel and I to be friends, I don't really know why. But I was really upset because Rachel is the greatest friend I've ever had to this day. But like I said, He has given me peace and an assurence about this whole thing. Also, we stopped by there house and got found and were super busted. I want to be on right standings with Mom, so I'm going to be obeying her explicitly for some time.

Frisbee: What more do I need to say? Haven't played in a few days and I'm in need of a UF fix. So, I've organized a game tonight and I hope it's gonna be cool. I've also been really wanting to play in the rain. I Love the Rain.

Yesterday I borrowed 8 Manga from Elizabeth and stayed up 'til 11:15 reading all of them. I really like them; D•N•Angel. While reading them I got some really strange insights into real life as well as some weird applications to my life and relationships.

I've decided that I'm going to be working out. Not anything really hardcore, but I've begun running as well as doing push-ups, sit-ups, pull-ups, and curls. Biking and frisbee, as well, are still some of my favorite things to do. Listening to Five Iron a lot too. Still my favorite band in the world. But I want to get the new Roper CD. But I don't really have the money or the permission to do so, so I'll be holding off for awhile, if not forever.

Another thing, I have now been officially stood up...twice. You think I would learn my lesson. Now you're thinking that I'm going to say: This person doesn't like you. But no, the lesson I've learned it that Rachel likes to sleep in and isn't so great at waking up early. *GRIN* On the subject of relationships, there is a girl at my church named Julie who I think is really cool but Rachel thinks likes me. I'm not really doubting Rachel's intuition, but I've never been the one in the family to get girls to like me. I'm not trying either but I guess with this new physique also come new attractions. I don't know, I'll just have to find these things out.

I really don't know what the title is all about, I kinda just picked it because it sounded cool. Anyway, right now I feel really good, just to let you know all you who care about me.

Oh, one more thing. On the 29th I'll be heading out with Evan, Granpda, and Uncle Fred to hunting camp '05. We all have tags so I hope that there will be enough enough animals and I hope we all have luck. To all you who pray for me, thank you so much. I love all you, and I am thinking about everyone and keeping you all in my prayers as well.

That'll be all for now, Love you All.

My Path Is Paved With Daggers

~On the heights all paths are paved with daggers.~ Seanchan saying.

Right now I really want to write something, but I can't concentrate and there is so much flying around. I feel like I've never felt before. I do things I've never done before. I know things I've never known before. I'm not the same as I was before. I've got to be careful with what I say and do. I don't want to hurt anyone, I don't want to mess up or fail. I want to help, I don't want to bring down. I want to encourage but I don't want to 'father.'

Next subject. Getting back into school isn't as bad as I was thinking it might be. I'm actually a little excited to be doing Calculus and the actually be able to figure things out AND understand them. I do miss sleeping in and having free time all day, though. Now I can't ride over the the Mortimer's whenever I want; I've got to wait until after school gets out. I'm doing pretty well, though, considering the circumstances. Running every morning (Hey, I said I ran, I didn't say I was fast), schooling, riding my bike, reading, loosing a ton of extra weight, gaining some very welcome muscle, and pretty much having a great time with my friends and with life. Earlier today I was looking at the powerpoint presentation that was shown at my dad's memorial service; I really like looking at old pitures. Not only does it help me remember who he was it helps me to see what kind of pictures I need to take so that the memories I'm making right now will last forever. But AARGGH! Sometimes things just get so frustrating, for example, some of friends (cough cough) won't let me take pictures of them and so I barely have any of some of the people closest to me. I mean, how am I supposed to remember all the great and glamourous times we had together if I don't have photo records? So everyone, please let me take pictures of you and us together. So when we all go our seperate ways, I can still remember all the good and bad times that we went through as friends and brothers and sisters. I love all you guys.

When I started writing this I had nothing to say, but as is the way with me, if I start things happen and I'm off to something great.

John

Life

Sorry for not posting more. Everything going on in my life right now is definitely not postable material.

I've played frisbee so much this past two weeks or so. I'm so bruised; it;s not even funny! You guys should see me.

Ultimate

I played the ultimate game today and did quite well. I realize that I receive quite a bit of praise for being as good as I am. I don't how good that is, but apparently the team that has me on it thinks it can win. I like receive praise but I don't want to ever get cocky, arrogent, or vain. I did hurt myself though, so that should keep my head out of the clouds. Right now my right shoulder and my hip are hurting and will probably be sore tomorrow. I have also taken on a new nickname: Uller. The Norse god or archery, death, winter, skiing, and more. You can call me that if it pleases you. Going to bed now, good night world.

Vindication

Vindication has nothing to do with what I'm going to talk about but I've never started a post with the letter 'V' and that was the first word that came to mind. Last week I was busy every night and all Friday and Saturday with the seminar. It was good and I learned some valuable information. This week I am also busy with Neighborhood Bible Time. Fun stuff. Earlier tonight we played a lot of games outside on the wet grass. One game we played we all had to pile into a fifteen seater van and then get out again then line up again. Stealthball: like volleyball but the net has tarps over it so you can't see anything going on the other side. Soccer...With inner tubes instead of balls. Anyway, I had lots fun and my team is winning. While playing soccer one kid got hit pretty bad in the leg and he had to go to the hospital.

Next week we are heading down to Sacramento for a conference. ROAD TRIP!!! YEAH!!!! VACATION!!!! YAY!!!! I have been really busy so far this summer and I don't see any respite coming in the near future. I'm going to miss you all.

Last night

I drove home from the seminar at 5001 W. Powell Blvd. I made a small mistake and now I have a bad reputation. I think I did fine but I don't think Luke likes the way I drive. He also thinks I'm too short. Whatever Luke. Just because I'm shorter than you doesn't mean anything. Frankly, I like being short, I wouldn't mind being 5' 8" or 9" some day but I don't want to 6' 4" or anything like that. I'm happy to be me.

Beach day

On our way up the coast we stopped in Lincoln City at the beach. IT WAS SO MUCH FUN! We played frisbee at least an hour and a half then we played in the river then the surf. I fell down catching the frisbee and got sand all over me. Adam, Evan, James, and I walked up the river a ways and found the skeleton of an old pirate. We threw rocks at it and eventually crushed it; mission accopmlished. Then we climbed this rock wall we found. Adam went first and made it to the top with no problem, I went next and fell once then I tried again and made it but not without cutting myself on some sharp rocks. Then we all jumped over a fence and jumped back onto the sand. I took some more pictures, being careful to keep sand and water off my camera. That was the best beach day I've had all year. Then we got chicken and Sobe and I rode shotgun. All the way home we chased a lightning storm and there were some really amazing strikes. At home I showered then went to bed.

John

Weekend

I'm back; that was fun. We drove down, I took some pictures. Over the whole weekend I took 161 pictures, not inculding the ones I deleted. I get to use gas powered tools and the "bone rattler" and we played a lot of pool. I almost beat Adam once but I totally screwed up. We watched some movies and stayed up late, and we ate food. On Saturday night we went out to pizza; that was fun. I dolled out Snickers and we wrestled on the floor of the pizza place. I made some phone calls but Mom wasn't very happy with that *sheepish grin*. hehe. I fell asleep during "The Pink Panther" and then woke up at 1 in the morning only to go back to sleep. There is more but I tell you later.

A STORY

This morning was boring. I woke up to the sound of Police sirens outisde. They were doing a drug bust on the meth lab next door. It was the third this week and it is only Monday. I couldn't get back to sleep for all the automatic gunfire, by the time it ended the sun was up. I went into the bathroom to use the sink, but had to push aside various tubes, beakers, and containers that cluttered the counter. Various labesl read, "CURE FOR CANCER," "AIDS VACCINE," and so on. I surmised that they had been put there last night by the whoever was in the bathroom banging and yelling until 2 AM last night. I went down to the kitchen, where a monkey was in the process of turning my cupboards into 'easy access food piles.' Most of the cereal was now mixed in with the box that once contained it. I scooped it up into one of my few remaining intact bowls. As I was about to pour milk on my cereal I was interrupted by my eccentric neighbor, who believes the milk is a key ingredient in nuclear devices, as well as being uncharacteristically bovine. After seeing that gallon make its way down the storm drain, I ate my cereal with apple juice. I was fairly sure I was going to be late for work, because I had just seen someone drive off in my Geo. At least he left his BMW there for me to drive. So this morning was really boring, and now I have to go to the DMV to register my BMW. I hope this afternoon is more interesting.

Unfortunately, I can not take claim for writing this down. Adam wrote the whole thing while in class Sunday morning.
