To Bee Or Not to Bee

I'm a busy bee, working for Mr. Dutton and working Starbucks. I'm starting to get complaints from my family that I'm not home often enough. Even now I'm trying to get my schedule to some friends so we can get together (again) to play some games.

Senior Car Wash this Saturday at Westgate at Eleven; everyone come and get your car super sharp, super clean, super amazing, super SHINY!

Hourly/Daily/Monthly

So far this year I have been snowboarding once, I've worked at Starbucks, I've taken and passed a CLEP test, I've started a diet, written thank yous, played football, watched football, eaten out with my senior class, stayed over at Kevin's, and so much more and it's only the 9th. I am really looking forward to what is in store for me the rest of my senior year.

High Definition

Tonight I had a pretty good night at youth group. I didn't do very well on Bible Quizzing, but what can be expected if I don't study very well. We sang a song that I didn't really like and then had a little dress rehearsel for next Sunday night's Chrildrens Christmas program. Afterwards the seniors had a meeting and then I set up to room for school tomorrow. I was a little upset about having to set up the classroom practically by myself even though I don't go to school there. I finally had a chance to hang out a little while before I went to practice our upcoming special music with Adam and Adela.

Brewings

The Festival of Farm Fun was cancelled last week. It has been rescheduled for this Saturday. The same day that Kevin and I are taking our ACTs. After slight deliberation, Kevin and I both decided that we would go to the Festival of Farm Fun and not organize a sedition. Because our ACTs start early in the morning, and because they are to be held over near Kevin's house, I will be going to his house the night prior. It promises to be a grand old time.

Pick Me

Nothing much really going on with me right now. I'm doing school and getting ready to take my ACTs in less than 2 weeks. Other than that I applied for a job at REI; I'd really like to work there for obvious reasons (and some not so obvious). On Saturday we have the youth group Festival of Farm (boring) Fun. I hope that it doesn't rain.

On The Move

I know that I haven't posted in a while and you guys no idea how much fun I had last weekend on The Island or this week. And I'm so busy right now getting ready to go camping again that I don't have time to open your mind's eye to the joys and wonders of a day on the river. I went to the beach today and the weather was beautiful. I sunburned a little and my lips are chapped. Today we had a good football game. I'm really looking forward to football season in less than 40 days! Yesterday I worked late framing an alcove in the new Gymnatorium. After work I played frisbee, re-hurt my shoulder, played soccer, scored our only goal, then went nuts and had a blast at the airshow. What a weekend so far and I'm still not done!. I have three more full days to rock out! Rock on everybody.

Oh Me!

Oh My! I haven't published an entry in over a week; what have I been doing? Well, I'll tell you. Work. Alright, that's not all that I've been doing, but it does take up a large portion of my time. Other than work most of the interesting things that I have been up to are church related. Last night for visitation a group of us went downtown to do the service at the Union Gospel Misson. As a volunteer I spent most of my time and energy washing dishes with a guy names Anthony. Afterwards I swept and mopped the kitchen. It was pretty fun - not that it had to be, but it helps - and it wasn't too long. On the way back I couldn't control my tongue and ended up getting three strikes and I was out from Taylor. After a sincere apology I was welcomed back into her circle of conversation. She even gave me a high-five.

Quizzical

Tonight is the last night of quizzing that we will have in this term. We will be quizzing over the book of John 7 and after tonight the top five quizzers will receive some kind of prize or reward.

Last night I went on IMPACT Outreach at Church but there were only about 6 people that came. All the others were away at tournament. I went with Andy on a few visits but spent most of our time talking to two Jehovah's Witness. That was interesting.

All the highschoolers and parents are coming back from tournament today. So far all I know is that the guys have won a few games and that the volleyball girls have lost a game. But tonight all will be revealed; the vans return just in time for evening church.

A Start

My life over the past week hasn't been terribly exciting but I figure I should at least summarize it for those of you who still visit this revamped yet still visitor lacking blog. My thanks to all of you who still do read it once and a while just keep me going.

Last week, on Thursday, I went to Westgate's first Varsity basketball game. I had never been to any high school basketball game before and it was a lot of fun, although at some points the gym was absolutely filled with noise. The Gators were playing against the Crusaders and the Gators ended up winning, that was good because it was their first game of this season. Throughout the whole game Julie wanted me to take a picture of one of the guys on the other team because she thought he was hot and I had my camera with me. During the game I couldn't get a good shot of him though, so after the game I stopped him and asked if I could take his picture. When I told him the reason he just thought it was funny and let me take a picture.

On Friday night we had the fall banquet at the Holiday Inn in Wilsonville. Afterwards, some of the teens in the youth group went bowling at Tigard Bowl. We had a good time but once again I didn't do very well. At least this time I wasn't the worst one there. When we had finished I drove home and went to bed about midnight. I really wanted to go to Shari's where I knew that some of the others were going to be. But I had to get up early the next morning so I just went home. The following morning I woke up at 7:30 and I had to be at the church by 8 for the Men's and Young Men's Breakfast. It didn't take me long to get ready and go so I got there at about 10 'til. After the breakfast Pastor Bruce Hamilton gave a short challenge about how to walk in the light (1 John 1:7). He used an acrostic of the word WORSHIP to as the outline. Wait on the Lord. Offer yourself to Him. Repent of sin. Surrender your will. Holiness is required. (I actually can't remember what "I" was for right now). Praise Him. After he had finished I helped clean in the kitchen until everything was done; then I got a ride home with Mr. Ballard. I spent the rest of the afternoon making stuffed Focaccia bread for the youth activity at the Ellis's house. At 4 I got a ride from church with Mr. Bickle to the activity. I had a pretty good time during the afternoon and evening. The only interesting thing that I did was volunteering for a game were I was blindfolded and had to guess the flavor of baby food that was being spoon-fed to me. Then Pastor Hamilton spoke to us on his burden that he has for Christian young people to reach out to the lost youth of the world. Afterwards, when I was supposed to be helping clean up I was in the back of the house brushing the horse that the Ellis's have. Then I got a ride back to the church and from there got a ride home.

On Sunday, following church and lunch, I went to G.I. Joe's to get my general season Elk hunting tag. Then I drove, in the rain, back to the church for evening service.

Upon coming home I had some food then got ready for bed. Proceeding sleep I lay in bed reading my Bible and studying for Bible quizzing. I had the window open a bit and the wind was chill and it howled through the gap; it reminded me of being on the mountain snowboarding. I hope toward the day that the season actually opens and I can finally go snowboarding. But for now I will have to wait and buy snowboard boots.

Thanks for reading about my boring life, whoever you are. You make this all worthwhile.
