I made it to Texas. There is so much to say and so little time to say it all. Maybe if I get more time I will little by little be able to reveal what being here is like. Everything about flying and coming to a new city is so cool. Tonight I went to the Maundy Thursday service at Park Cities Presbyterian Church. The cermony was really an expirience that I think everyone needs to have some time in their life. Earlier today I helped Zach blow off and clean the parking areas and drive ways before lunch. After lunch He and I mowed all the lawns. That was a trial, but the Lord is gracious and good and I got through it with His Strength. After that, I think Zach had to do school or something, so I spent the rest of the work day edging the grass and cleaning up my mess. Yesterday my flight was delayed about half an hour but I didn't really care. When I got to DFW I disembarked the plane and picked up my baggage. After about a ten minute wait I saw Anna at the same time that she saw me. I grabbed my bags and we ran at each other. We listened to Gaelic Storm on the drive back. Everyone here has been hearing a lot about me from Anna, so when I finally came everyone really gave me a warm welcome and I already like one of the group. It's great. Almost every moment that we spend together has a story to go along with it and there is no way I can write them all down. The weather is sunny and warm in the day and cool and breezy at night. I sleep with my window open. *Siiiiggghhh* I wish I could tell you about all the has happened already and I know that there is more to come on the way. This weekend we are going to Bethany's Grandparent's house; I know it's gonna be fun. I'll write more later. Send me an email.

Thirsty Work
I had a really busy and eventful weekend with many interesting anecdotes. I won't be able to tell about every thing that has now permanent residence inside my head but I will try to remember the highlights. On Friday Adam and I went out to Clackamas Public Safety Training Center and shot handguns at an indoor range. On the way home we had Burgerville Chocolate Hazelnut milkshakes, which I highly recommend. On Saturday I went and volunteered at Thumpers Center. That was a great time; listed here are some of the things I did/witnessed: Five police officers inside a coffee shop with only one police motorcycle parked outside, riding horses, riding bareback for the first time, and horses that needed to be rated R. I worked cleaning stalls and sweeping at Thumpers until after dark and then my ride was there to pick us up. When I got home I found that my Amazon.com order had arrived and now I have two new CDs: Herding Cats, and Tree both by Gaelic Storm. Now I have four of their CDs.

Down Underground
So far this week I've been really busy. On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday I worked for Mr. Martin building a fence at the Williams. On Tuesday I only worked half a day because I had to go to piano lessons at 2:15. When I got home from piano I rode my bike to Mace Stables to work for Mr. Mace. By the time I was done there it was about 6:30 and it was dark. Yesterday, I worked with Mr. Martin until 4:30. When I got home I worked jackhammering an old fence post until it was too dark to continue; it was about 5:15. After dinner, I had to shower and then we went to Wednesday night church. After church, when we got home, Sara opened her birthday presents and we had cake. Then I got ready for bed, read my Bible, and listened to Gaelic Storm before I went to bed. I checked the clock before I finally went to sleep and it said 11:11, so this morning I was tired.

Bring Yer Wellies!

Don't worry, the rest of my snowboard story should be coming sometime this week. In the mean time I am going to be enjoying my new Gaelic Storm CDs, How Are We Getting Home? and Bring Yer Wellies. You can check 'em out at www.gaelicstorm.com.
John isn't just my name, it's who I am.
