Doing the Difficult

If someone came up to me with a gun and pointed it at my head and commanded that I deny and forsake Jesus it would be no hard thing for me to say no and die for my beliefs. But so often in our every day living we hold onto things much more insignificant than our lives. For some reason we can't give up certain things. II Kings 5:13 says "And his servants came near, and spake unto him, and said, My father, if the prophet had bid thee do some great thing, wouldest thou not have done it? How much rather then, when he saith to thee, wash, and be clean?" Will we do the "little" things?

So true... If we aren't faithful in the "little" things how can we be faithful in the "big" things?

I have thought through this very thing many times and yet it is always good to be reminded. Thanks.
